Let's GO, Seoul●Busan! 首爾●釜山趴趴走!

안녕하세요 여러분! \^0^/
Annyeonghaseyo, everyone!

It's the fifth day of our trip.
Today we are going to explore other parts of Korea.

Gapyeong is an area which is located away from Seoul city.
There are a few tourist attractions around this area,
and we gonna cover two of them today.

C'mon let's GOOO! :)

September 13, 2016 (Tuesday)

In order to catch our KTX train to Gapyeong, which leaves at 7AM,
we left guesthouse even earlier today.

Guesthouse's kitchen not even open when we left,
so we grab ourselves simple breakfast on the way to the train station.
It's non-other than box milk and triangular-kimbab.

It's super convenient as you can easily find convenient stores along the road,
for instance GS25.
Simple breakfast in variety are on the shelves, all you do is to heat it up using microwave.
You can ask the shop assistant to assist you with the breakfast.

We purchased our ITX Cheongchun train tickets online.
(check the online ticket purchase website here)
It costs us KRW5,200 (around RM19.30) one-way.

We need to hop into ITX Cheongchun train at a station named Yongsan.
From Myeongdong (424) to Yongsan (135), we need to transfer at Seoul Station (426/133).

The route will look like this:
Myeongdong (424) > Seoul (426/133) > Yongsan (133/K110) > Sangbong (K120) > Gapyeong (P134)

There is an APP which I found it very handy to master the subway stations in Seoul.
Search "Subway" in Playstore / App Store.
(click here to the APP how-to tutorial)

The train arrived on-timed.
We booked our seats in advance, and settled down ourselves comfortably.

The journey from Yongsan to Gapyeong will take around 40 mins.
So just enjoy the ride.

The train arrived at our destination just on-timed.
That's why I love the subway here sooooo much.

There is a shuttle bus service operating around the town.
However it only starts service at 9AM.

It's just 8AM something when we arrived Gapyeong Station.
So we are taking meter-taxi instead.
Less assured, it won't cost too much.
From our own experience, it costed us KRW3,800 per trip.
Lower than we expected, cause from what we read from another blogger
she said it costed her over KRW6,000.

Bear in mind, the taxi will drop you somewhere near to the ticket counter,
yet he couldn't drop you right in front of it.

You can find a sky-flying-fox equipment/tower located in front, not far away from the ticket counter.

Head forward to the ticket counter, and purchase the entrance ticket which costs KRW8,000
(standard price for foreigners, including two-way/round trip boat fare).

It's early in the morning, and the sun is not fully up yet.
Cold breeze blowing through our hair.
Getting a glimpse of late Summer.

And yes, we are here, finally!
It's the right decision to arrive there early in order to avoid tourist crowd.
It feels like we can enjoy the peaceful scenery all by ourselves!
You won't regret to come here early, seriously.

In fact, this is my second visit to Nami Island.
Last visit was early this year, when it was early Spring, when the snow covered the whole island.
It's indeed a different view and feeling to visit the island in different season.

Lovin' the scenery.
There are cottages and hotel rooms for rent if you wish to stay the night.
Well, but you have to check online for the price.

Map of the island carved on the rock.

The water tower/fountain, one of the attractions on the island.

Imagine walking on the cottage bridge beside the sea in the morning/evening.

From time to time, they are putting up various of art works alongside the pathway as an attraction.

After a good walk around the island, it's time to fill our tummy.
There is a restaurant which sells vintage lunch box, 연가지가 (Yeonga-jiga).

It's a bit tricky when it comes to finding the restaurant.
While walking down the road from the main entrance's direction,
you should observe a row of various shops on the left.

You won't be able to see it's signboard from the main road,
Yeonga-jiga is behind the row, on the right hand side.
It's just around the corner after this water fountain.

Kimchi lunch box with tuna is KRW6,500

Kimchi pancake KRW8,000

We ordered the normal lunch box and another with cheese topping.
Cautions! These lunch boxes are right off the stove.
Thence, gloves are provided. Make sure you wear those while shaking the lunch box.

Ask me, is there any difference between these two?
I barely can tell...
Probably the one with cheese topping is less spicy, if I must say.

After filling up our tummy, our adventure on Nami Island is coming to an end.
