[Review] Tony Moly - The Chok Chok Green Tea No-Wash Cleansing Water

Hello everyone! :)

I don't know about you, but for me, Tony Moly is one of the earliest Korean beauty brands that I know of. Most probably because JYJ have been their brand ambassadors back in the days, and I am (no secret) a BIG FAN of Jaejoong a.k.a. Hero, ever since high school (fun fact).

Back then, Tony Moly is better known for their makeup range, and I'm quite impressed to learn that they are venturing well into skincare range nowadays.

Recently they came out with the "Chok Chok Green Tea" skincare range, which I think it would be a good news to acne-prone and oily skin.

Particularly today we will be talking about their cleansing water from the range.

[Review] Senka - Perfect Water Cleansing Make Up Remover (Anti-Shine)

Hello everyone! :)

To my very surprise, my earlier review post on Senka's Perfect Whip Cleansing Foam has been topping the Top 5 Trending Posts in my blog. Perhaps more and more people are trying to know better of this brand and its products.

Hence today I will be sharing with you my current cleansing water by Senka - the Perfect Water Cleansing Make Up Remover.

Review; Senka's Perfect Water Cleansing Make Up Remover (Anti-Shine)
Senka's Perfect Water Cleansing Make Up Remover (Anti-Shine) | 300 ml

One of the obvious trait that Japanese products are living is minimalist design without compensating the quality of the product - which I adore.

The packaging is in calming blue plastic with a pump-head.

Big volume (of 300ml) good for months.

Review; Senka's Perfect Water Cleansing Make Up Remover (Anti-Shine)

It has the viscosity similar to water with additional moisture-touch to it, so it won't leave your skin dry after removing makeup.

"9/10 agree quick removal without drying skin." -Senka.

To use, for me I usually do 2-3 small pumps on a cotton pad (as below). It does has this soap fragrance to it.

Be careful with the amount cause if it's too much on the one cotton pad, it will create a soap-like layer on top of the skin - texture similar to like applying face cleanser on your skin.

Review; Senka's Perfect Water Cleansing Make Up Remover (Anti-Shine)

To be more cost effective (as I am always), I will tear the dampen cotton pad into half (as below) for both sides of the face.

The cottons pad I'm using here are from Watson.

Review; Senka's Perfect Water Cleansing Make Up Remover (Anti-Shine)

Then proceed to wipe to remove makeup accordingly.

It is really mild on the skin and leaving the skin smooth. Below are the makeup removing result from my first to third cotton pad in order to remove whole face makeup (below). In fact, I only applied a layer of foundation this morning.

First cotton pad

Second cotton pad

Third and last cotton pad

In terms of the makeup removing power, it is definitely suitable for everyday makeup which you wear powder-type or less products on the skin. However, if you are using foundation or BB cream, you might consider doing double cleansing.

I do enjoy this product as it doesn't sting nor drying the skin during the process. It leaves the skin moist until a point which it is a bit sticky on the surface. Usually I will just rinse it with water or double cleanse it with cleansing gel.

I bought this product from Hermo for RM32.90. (non-affiliated link)

[Review] Nivea - Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

Hello everyone! :)

Wanna have a sneek-peek to my current eye makeup remover? :D

No secret, I am currently using Nivea's Daily Essentials Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover.

Read on to see its makeup removing effect! ;)

Review; Nivea's Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover
Nivea's Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover | 125ml

So how did I get this product?

Remember previously when I shared on Nivea's Refreshing Moisture Mask pack? here

I got these Nivea merchandises as part of the gift pack from winning G-Dragon's <M.O.T.T.E> Album.

Yeah, that was some time ago. :') Only get to this product now (heh).

Product Breakdown

Review; Nivea's Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

"Effectively remove waterproof mascara and make-up. With Cornflower Extract." -Nivea.

Review; Nivea's Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

"Shake well before use. Apply to a cotton pad to clean eye area. No rubbing needed. Suitable for contact lens wearers." -Nivea.

Ingredients

Review; Nivea's Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

Aqua (water), Isododecane, Isoprophy Palmitate, Dimethicone, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Centaurea Cyarus Flower Extract, Sodium Chloride, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Trisodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Benzethonium Choloride, Cl 60725, Cl 61565.

How To Use / Personal Experience

Oh yeah, I love this part! :p Get ready to get cleaned!

Prepare cotton pads. Of course.

Shake well until the oil and water components are mixed nicely. Notice the color has changed to light blue.

Review; Nivea's Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

Take adequate amount on the cotton pad.

What I do usually, a cost effective way, is to tear (from the side) the cotton pad into half. So you can remove makeup on both eyes at the same time!

Review; Nivea's Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

Pressed the dampen cotton pads on your eyes without rubbing it. For how long? It really depends on your makeup. While using Nivea's Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover, I usually left it for 20~30 seconds.

The product is mild on the eyes; it doesn't cause any irritation or tingling sensation.  Really impressive, really!

See the result from first cotton pad! (as below)

Review; Nivea's Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

And I proceed to my second and third cotton pads. (as below)

Final Verdict

I was using eye makeup remover from Banila Co. before using Nivea's.

Comparatively, Banila Co.'s gave bigger "WOW" removing effect. It only requires about 10~15 seconds to get the entire eye makeup removed. Usually it doesn't have much makeup left on the second cotton pad.

What I concern when purchasing eye makeup remover is the formulation. I prefer it to be mild on the eyes, but doesn't compensate on the removing power.

Review; Nivea's Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

There are hits and misses in both products I am mentioning here. Nivea's has an upper side on its packaging. Banila Co.'s it fresh lip & eye remover requires to press-and-twist to open the cap. Rather complicated.

However, Banila Co.'s removing power is just AMAZING. Period.

[Review] Bifesta - Bright Up Cleansing Lotion (Purple; For Combination Skin)

[Review] Bifesta - Bright Up Cleansing Lotion (Purple; For Combination Skin)

Hello everyone! :)

I am back with another cleansing water review from Bifesta!
(Click here if you have missed the previous review)

Review; Bifesta's Bright Up Cleansing Lotion (Purple; For Combination Skin)
Bifesta's Bright Up Cleansing Lotion (Purple; For Combination Skin) | 300 ml

I recalled that I wasn't quite satisfied with the previous cleansing water. I didn't like the smell, the texture on the skin.. Well it doesn't suit me, but I don't speak for everyone.

I thought of giving it another try after being recommended by Hello Catie, a Taiwanese Beauty Youtuber, saying apparently the purple one works miracle on her.

This one here I purchased from Watson, local drugstore, for RM27.80. It comes with a complementary box of cotton pads (as below).

I have been using this product for quite a while now and will be sharing with you my thoughts on it shortly.

Review; Bifesta's Bright Up Cleansing Lotion (Purple; For Combination Skin)

First, the complementary cotton pads are fluffy in the middle, as you can see below. Ability to absorb a lot of the product (and sometimes it's too much before I realized it @@, and I was just keep on pumping lol).

Review; Bifesta's Bright Up Cleansing Lotion (Purple; For Combination Skin)

So it is roughly the amount you get from one pump (as below). About a coin's size? Usually I will take 2-3 pumps, but it all depends.

Time for experiment!

Honestly, this is my first attempt to test the product in this way. I have no idea what would be the outcome ><'''.

This is it. I wrote on my hand with a black gel eyeliner. Then I am going to remove the black gel eyeliner using this product.

As usual, give it for about 2-3 pumps, make sure the cotton pad is nicely damped.

Let's see what's the result after one swab (as below).

Roughly 70% of the wording are gone.

It takes 3 swabs in order to remove the wording entirely.

Frankly speaking, its cleansing power is not at the top notch, but I would say it was pretty impressive. Unlike the previous cleansing water which I tried on earlier, I have better impression on this purple cleansing water. It is mild on the skin (even around the eyes), and it doesn't have the weird smell.

Overall, I thought it worth the try. I do have combination skin, and so far it works ok for me.

**Quick product note: This product is paraben-free, sulfate-free and alcohol-free. Contains fragrance.**

This product is available at Watson.

[Review] POINT - Green Tea Pure Cleansing Cream

[Review] POINT - Green Tea Pure Cleansing Cream

Hello everyone! :)

Today I will be reviewing a makeup cleansing cream from POINT. It is not quite a mainstream Korean brand (yet) which you might heard before, but I guarantee you this is really fulfilling. ;)

Review; POINT's Green Tea Pure Cleansing Cream
POINT's Green Tea Pure Cleansing Cream | 포인트 어린잎 녹차 클렌징 크림 | 300ml

Review; POINT's Green Tea Pure Cleansing Cream

I didn't just run into this product. In fact, I was first introduced to POINT's Green Tea Cleansing Cream when I watched Korean Youtuber Heizle's Evening Skin Care Routine. That was like 6 months ago? Yeap, or even earlier.

It is such a satisfying video to watch how she removes her face makeup completely with just one step - the cleansing cream! All the makeup just melts away!

Check out her video here.

I kept it inside my wishlist until my friend, Yvonne, she asked if I have anything to purchase from Gmarket. Immediately I send in my order and got it for about RM79.20 for 2 (including domestic & international shipping fee). The product itself is KRW11,500 (buy 1 free 1). That's really cheap! ... Consider also the fact that 300ml is quite an amount.

Review; POINT's Green Tea Pure Cleansing Cream

The cream itself has a really relaxing fragrance smell. Not much of green tea scent, really. More similar to forest scent(?). If you can understand what I mean :') Owh it's super hard to describe scent or smell. Forgive me.

To use, you just have to apply the cleansing cream directly onto your face and rub in circular motion, for about 2~3 minutes (depending on how thick is your makeup that you're wearing), in order to melt the makeup nicely.

Shall we? :D

For the purpose of this review post, here's a photo of me putting on foundation, concealer, eyeshadows, gel eyeliner and all sorts of lip products (lip tint, sheer lipstick, cream matte lip product) on my hand. Just for illustration purpose.

Apply the cleansing cream generously. As how you wish.

Rub and massage with the cleansing cream in circular motion, similar to how you washes your face. Since I am filming with one hand, I can't show you how I did it. So yeah, here's the result :D

Basically my hand looks like a colourful palette (hahaha XD). Wow, these lip products are really pigmented!

Now wipe the cleansing cream with tissue. You can see there are still little stains and residue. When I mentioned that it dissolves 97% of makeup, I mean it.

It's okay, probably these products are made too good, yeah? So I am going to apply the cleansing cream for the second time.

And yes, not to worry, it solves the problem! ;)

Personally, I don't quite fancy double-cleansing. I only do it occasionally when I had heavy or full-face makeup. Cleansing cream definitely speeds up the makeup removing process, compared to cleansing water.

This particular product is the first ever cleansing cream I tried, and I am really satisfied with its outcome. The cream itself is quite thick. When it melts on the skin, it feels oily; If you have oily skin, you might need to reconsider before purchasing it.

For me, it is definitely worth the purchase, not only it delivers what it claims, but also it comes in jumbo size.
