[Review] Kao MegRhythm - Steam Eye Mask Chamomile Ginger Aroma

Hello everyone! :)

Do you fall in the categories below?

Working long hours in front of the computer? Studying and reading throughout the night for exams? Tired and watery eyes? Or maybe, insomnia?

Slightly different from usual, today I am going to share with you a steam eye mask that could relieve the above symptoms.

Let's check it out! ;)

Review; Kao MegRhythm's Steam Eye Mask Chamomile Ginger Aroma
Kao MegRhythm's Steam Eye Mask Chamomile Ginger Aroma | 14 pcs per box

As my work requires long hours starring at the computer screen, it really strains my eyes and further leads to sensitive eyes (sometimes they are super dry, and there are times when they are super teary).

When I first knew about this steam eye mask, I thought it is a brilliant idea. That's what I'm looking for, instead of hot towels (the heat subsides rather fast too, I knew cause I tried).

I bought it from Hermo for RM59 per box.

Unsurprisingly, the product description is all written in Japanese as it is a Japanese brand. Nevertheless, the picture illustration is rather sufficient for us to understand how to use the product.

By the way, you could also check out Kao Singapore's official website for the product description. Click here.

I noticed they pasted a sticker which lists down the product ingredient and necessary information on it. However, it is written in Chinese. I am thinking, maybe these were imported from Taiwan(?). Merely guessing, anyways.

Right. Unboxing time! So these steam eye masks are packed in an individual pack separately (as below).

As you open the individual packet, you will find the steam mask folded in half. If you ordered a scented version, you should be able to notice the scent right away.

Tear according to the dotted line connecting the ear-straps. Tear it into half, so that you could hang around your ears to wear it later (as below).

According to its product description, the steam eye mask could reach a nice-and-cozy warm temperature of 40°C for about 10 minutes. From my experience, the steam could lasts for about 15 minutes; it depends.

After putting on the steam eye mask, it just relaxes all the muscles around the eyes. I even wear a normal eye mask on top of it, just to trap the stream in hoping that it will last longer. I think it works! (heh)

The only drawback would be the time limitation. How I wish it could last a bit longer,,, Until I am fast asleep, maybe?

I even purchased the Yuzu scent as well, but in comparison, I would prefer the Chamomile scent. Such a healing and relaxing moment.

Oh ya, if you're planning to use it in between your office breaks, be careful of your eye makeup! Gentle reminder ;)

[Review] Tony Moly - My Sunny All-In-One Sun SPF45 PA+++

Hello everyone! :)

Today I will be sharing with you my daily sunscreen product from Tony Moly. The fact is, I have been using Tony Moly's sunscreen product as far as I can remember!

Shall we begin now?

Review; Tony Moly's My Sunny All-In-One Sun SPF45 PA+++
Tony Moly's My Sunny All-In-One Sun SPF45 PA+++ | 토니모리 마이 써니 올인원 선 | 3.52 fl. oz. / 100 ml

Previously, I was using Tony Moly's My Sunny Kids & Mom Sun SPF50+ PA+++. Since I got an impression that sunscreen products are rather oily, sticky and sometimes stinky, it was a life-changer for me ever since I have tried this sunscreen.

With the advancement of internet shopping, I also learned that it is much cheaper to purchase online (i.e. Gmarket) than purchasing from physical stores. Hence, it marked my journey of internet shopping. Yes, it was the time when I purchased Tony Moly's sunscreen.

When I finished the tube, I thought I should tried their All-In-One sunscreen. It's just that I thought it would be more suitable for me as I'm not so much concern of kid-friendly-ness at the moment.

Honestly I don't remember the price when I purchased it as it was about 1 year ago. Hence, I checked on Gmarket, and the price as of today is KRW12,000 (approx. RM45), with free gift. And apparently, they have renew their packaging too!

Bear in mind that the product I'm showing you now is the old packaging, but same product description.

"5 in 1 = UV protection + Skin tone protection + Moisturization + Nutrition + Mild texture on skin"

Review; Tony Moly's My Sunny All-In-One Sun SPF45 PA+++

The formula is in light beige (as below). This is different from My Sunny Kids & Mom Sun which is white in color. As far as I noticed, it didn't change the skin tone as it doesn't carry any coverage.

Review; Tony Moly's My Sunny All-In-One Sun SPF45 PA+++

Gently apply in circular motion until fully absorbed. It neither leaves white cast behind, nor feeling heavy on the skin.

Well, it is not completely non-oily (that's impossible), it's just the texture is rather thin and light after you applied it onto the skin. It feels like your skin can still breathe underneath the layer.

To sum up, when I think of Tony Moly, I think of its sunscreen products. I really like its texture, but I yet to discover other products that are similar at the moment. Definitely recommended! ;)

Meanwhile, do check out my Monthly Project episode on "All About Sunscreens" here, featuring other sunscreen products and fun facts.

[Review] Benton - Snail Bee High Content Essence

Hello everyone! :)

It's been a while. Today I would like to share with you another product from Benton.

Review; Benton's Snail Bee High Content Essence
Benton's Snail Bee High Content Essence | 벤톤 스네일비 하이콘텐트 에센스 | 60 ml

Actually I bought this product together with Benton's Aloe BHA Skin Toner, which you can check out my review here.

I won't lie. At the first place, I didn't enjoy using this essence product as much as the Aloe BHA Skin Toner. I thought it is just so-so.

However, as time goes, I am getting fond of using this product.

Review; Benton's Snail Bee High Content Essence

First, allow me to give you an overlook of its product packaging. The product information is printed in English on the front of the bottle. On the other side of the bottle, it is all written in Korean.

The first date is the manufacture date. The second line is the best before date.

Review; Benton's Snail Bee High Content Essence

There is a pump attached to the bottle, which makes it convenience and hygiene.

Review; Benton's Snail Bee High Content Essence

I enjoy using it because I like its consistency and the mild formula. The reason why I changed my mind towards this product is when I realized how the product works differently on my skin compared to other similar products.

I like to see how it nicely absorbed into the skin just a moment after applied, without stickiness or feeling a layer of substance on the skin.

As you can see below, it is a transparent essence. Not watery, nor creamy. Just the nice texture that I would recommend for normal to oily skin, as you won't feel heavy on the skin, yet it replenishes the skin moisture.

Review; Benton's Snail Bee High Content Essence

Below is a comparison between Aloe BHA Skin Toner (left) and Snail Bee High Content Essence (right). As you can noticed, the skin toner is rather watery and it just drip off the skin. However, the essence remains the same, sitting still on the skin.

Review; Benton's Snail Bee High Content Essence

As you work it onto the skin, you can feel the skin moisture being replenished. I would say, its moisturization power is moderate. So if you need extra moisturization, do apply extra layers, especially on the drying areas/spots according to your skin condition. Give it a gentle pat to enhance absorption.

Review; Benton's Snail Bee High Content Essence

Usually I apply it in my morning skin care routine, after toner, before sunblock. My makeup do lasts throughout the day without becoming flaky. Furthermore, as for me, it doesn't turn oily on my face, which I supposed it is a good sign.

This product is available on Althea for RM80.

Do you want to learn more about its product ingredient? Check out Skincarisma, a website which offers you an in-depth information on what's in your skincare/makeup products. The breakdown for Benton's Snaill Bee High Content Essence is right here.

Rating: 3.5/5

Recommend: Yes, for normal to oily skin types.

Repurchase: Probably.

[Review] POINT - Green Tea Pure Cleansing Cream

Hello everyone! :)

Today I will be reviewing a makeup cleansing cream from POINT. It is not quite a mainstream Korean brand (yet) which you might heard before, but I guarantee you this is really fulfilling. ;)

Review; POINT's Green Tea Pure Cleansing Cream
POINT's Green Tea Pure Cleansing Cream | 포인트 어린잎 녹차 클렌징 크림 | 300ml

Review; POINT's Green Tea Pure Cleansing Cream

I didn't just run into this product. In fact, I was first introduced to POINT's Green Tea Cleansing Cream when I watched Korean Youtuber Heizle's Evening Skin Care Routine. That was like 6 months ago? Yeap, or even earlier.

It is such a satisfying video to watch how she removes her face makeup completely with just one step - the cleansing cream! All the makeup just melts away!

Check out her video here.

I kept it inside my wishlist until my friend, Yvonne, she asked if I have anything to purchase from Gmarket. Immediately I send in my order and got it for about RM79.20 for 2 (including domestic & international shipping fee). The product itself is KRW11,500 (buy 1 free 1). That's really cheap! ... Consider also the fact that 300ml is quite an amount.

Review; POINT's Green Tea Pure Cleansing Cream

The cream itself has a really relaxing fragrance smell. Not much of green tea scent, really. More similar to forest scent(?). If you can understand what I mean :') Owh it's super hard to describe scent or smell. Forgive me.

To use, you just have to apply the cleansing cream directly onto your face and rub in circular motion, for about 2~3 minutes (depending on how thick is your makeup that you're wearing), in order to melt the makeup nicely.

Shall we? :D

For the purpose of this review post, here's a photo of me putting on foundation, concealer, eyeshadows, gel eyeliner and all sorts of lip products (lip tint, sheer lipstick, cream matte lip product) on my hand. Just for illustration purpose.

Apply the cleansing cream generously. As how you wish.

Rub and massage with the cleansing cream in circular motion, similar to how you washes your face. Since I am filming with one hand, I can't show you how I did it. So yeah, here's the result :D

Basically my hand looks like a colourful palette (hahaha XD). Wow, these lip products are really pigmented!

Now wipe the cleansing cream with tissue. You can see there are still little stains and residue. When I mentioned that it dissolves 97% of makeup, I mean it.

It's okay, probably these products are made too good, yeah? So I am going to apply the cleansing cream for the second time.

And yes, not to worry, it solves the problem! ;)

Personally, I don't quite fancy double-cleansing. I only do it occasionally when I had heavy or full-face makeup. Cleansing cream definitely speeds up the makeup removing process, compared to cleansing water.

This particular product is the first ever cleansing cream I tried, and I am really satisfied with its outcome. The cream itself is quite thick. When it melts on the skin, it feels oily; If you have oily skin, you might need to reconsider before purchasing it.

For me, it is definitely worth the purchase, not only it delivers what it claims, but also it comes in jumbo size.
