Today I will be sharing with you my Afternoon High Tea experience
at The Lounge, Kota Kinabalu Marriott Hotel.

The Lounge is located at ground floor,
beside the reception (check in / out) counter.
Basically, the seating area can be divided into two sections:
one closer to the windows (expect to be warmer during the afternoons),
and another closer to the lobby (expect to be dimmer since it is away from the sun).

RM48 nett for 1 adult & 1 child (between 6 to 12 years old)
The Afternoon Tea set includes
4 types of sweet,
4 types of savoury,
a wide selection of tea or coffee.
Feel free to order ala carte from a classic English menu of sandwiches, cookies and desserts.

Came with a Youtuber friend, Chak Yan,
we ordered an Afternoon Tea set for two adults.
I am having Raspberry tea,
which is highly favoured by lady customers
(as I were told by the staff heh).
Among the 4 types savoury, two are sandwiches which we can customise ourselves,
the bread and the fillings.
So many choices of bread to choose from!!
At the end, we decided on Charcoal Bread with Beef Bacon
and Focaccia Bread with Chicken Slice.
Another option left besides beef and chicken is egg mayo.
It takes about 10 to 15 minutes for the tea set to be served.
Splendid!!!
Exactly how I imagine my afternoon tea should be. :)

The Afternoon Tea Treats includes a variety of sweet and savoury,
which includes scones, red velvet cheese cakes, rainbow layered cakes and blueberry mousse cake.
My personal favourite among all savory is nonetheless
Charcoal Bread with Beef Bacon.
Their Blueberry cheese cake is unforgettable,
smooth and creamy texture,
with the balance of sweet and sourness from the blueberry itself.
Yummmm
I must say, this amount of food is TOO MUCH for two adults. XD
Even though both of us didn't have lunch prior to this,
we couldn't finish them all. :')
Not kidding.
Seriously, RM65 nett for these amount of food,
plus the 5-star dining environment,
I think it is SUPER WORTH IT!
Overall, I am very much satisfied with the whole afternoon high tea experience here at The Lounge.
My one little concern would be the temperature control at the dining area near the windows,
because it can be a little too hot to sit there around 4PM to 5PM.
I haven't been to so many high tea places before,
but Marriott Hotel is definitely one of top places in Kota Kinabalu.
