Guess many haven't heard about Fairy Trip's Rose Water Spa Mask, so today I'm going to share on how to prepare this rose water spa mask and my first impression. For your own reference.
大概很多人还没有听说过霏尔尼玫瑰水疗面膜（我就是其中一个）。今天就和大家分享如何使用这款面膜，以及我亲身使用感想。

Before we start, we need to get the 2 main ingredients ready, which are the powder mask and rose water. They come in 2 individual packets (as above).
开始之前，准备水疗面膜需要两个主要“材料”——面膜粉以及玫瑰纯露（玫瑰水），个别包装。

Besides, prepare a spatula and a mixture bowl/cup.
除此之外，准备功夫还需搅拌用的器皿。

Just by a mere look, you might be confused as they appeared almost identical in packaging!
咋看之下，有可能会拿错，正因为它们的包装几乎一模一样！

Probably because it is made in China, its product description is all written in Chinese.
或许因为是中国制造，其实也不难理解为什么产品介绍全都是中文。

Product information such as product's benefits, ingredients, shelf life and etc., is written right at the back of the packaging.
翻到背面有写着产品功效，成分，保质期等有关产品须知的信息。


According to its product description, this mask is said to help restore skin vitality, nutrition, moisture and even out skin color.
根据产品介绍，这玫瑰水疗面膜可以不但补水保湿、深层滋润肌肤，还有助补充营养·（？），从而使皮肤红润，肤色均亮。

It's really easy to use. They even have small pictures to demonstrate (as above).
使用方法很简单。还有小图示范（如上）。

First of all, clean your face.
首先，清洁面部。

Then make the mask mixture. All you gonna do is to mix the 2 sachets together to get the paste. Mix well until you don't see the clump. You should get a transparent gel-like mixture with dried rose particles in it (as below).
接着就要调制面膜。步骤非常简单。把面膜粉和玫瑰纯露倒进碗/被子里，搅拌均匀即可。完成品是参杂着玫瑰花瓣碎的透明糊液（如下）。

The scent of dried rose is pleasant and mild. Really reminds me of the relaxing spa sensation.
调制的过程可以闻到淡淡地玫瑰花香味。很舒服。

When it is done, apply the gel-type mask onto your face.
调好后，把面膜涂在脸上。

The mixture is more than enough for 2 person. Since you can't keep it, invite a company.
面膜的分量足够敷两张脸。此面膜不可以留着下次用，不如邀请一个伴，一起敷面膜！

**Important Note** As the mask clumps and dries up very fast, it is advice to apply the mask in your fastest speed (best within 1 minute). Not only the mask doesn't stick onto the skin nicely, but also it doesn't look pretty in overall when it clumps.
**注意** 由于面膜干得比较快，建议调好后赶紧涂在脸上（最好1分钟内搞定）。面膜干了以后，不仅附着力减少，敷在脸上也不好看！

Don't repeat my mistake (as below) My goshh.
以下是错误示范 （呜呜）T^T

It didn't mention the recommended duration to put on the mask, so as usual, I assumed normal duration of 10 to 15 minutes.
包装上没有注明敷用时间。那就一如往常，敷个10到15分钟呗。

When time's up, remove it by either peeling it (which is faster this way), or rinsing with water.

时间足了以后，要么可以像剥死皮一样剥下面膜（这样快一些），或是用水清洗脸部。

Since this is the first time using this product, I didn't aware that the mixture can dried up so fast @@. It was a bit rush as I was trying to take pictures of the whole process. Honestly, I was sad.
这是我第一次使用此面膜。因为要拍过程，弄得有些手忙脚乱。我不知道面膜会那么快干掉。实在很伤心。

In terms of functionality, guess I'm not in the right position to comment as I only use it once. All I can say is, it is very effective to bring down the skin temperature, especially after a long day outside.
毕竟我只使用了一次，不好说产品是否有果效。我喜欢的一点是，面膜本身冰冰凉凉的，敷在脸上不仅舒服，而且可以镇静皮肤。

Overall, it was a shame that I wasn't able to enjoy the product to its fullness. It wouldn't be fair to rate it purely based on my first impression, so will just let it blank. Hope you understand.
总而来说，我对这次的试用体验感到遗憾，没能充分地使用此面膜。我认为基于我对此产品的第一印象来作出评论是有点不公平，所以干脆在以下的评分栏上留白了。请谅解。

[Review] Moksha - Dear.Shea Butter (Cream Type / Cacao, Mango, Propolis)

This is my second purchase of Moksha's mask sheet, and I'm already deeply in love with this brand.

Moksha's Dear Shea Butter Mask Sheet / Cream Type (Cacao, Mango, Propolis) | 25g / 0.88 oz.

Ever since I first tried Moksha's Dear Berry Mask Sheet, I checked on the Althea website to see what other cream type mask sheet they have in the same product line. That's how I found Dear Shea Butter. Apparently, these are the only 2 cream type mask sheet available in the series.

I got this Dear Shea Butter mask sheet for RM4 on Althea website. Very affordable, isn't it?

At the back of the package, it is written on the description, saying "deep moisturizing effect, restore skin elasticity and create smooth skin texture" (second line in Korean - minor heading).

For those who are curious what are the ingredients, here's the list (see below).

Look how rich the cream has coated the mask sheet! It's dessert time, for your skin ;)

Well, I totally buy the marketing idea because it actually delivers what it claims. Not only I noticed and felt that instant deep moisturizing and nourishing effect, it actually quite lasting, until the night after. For the record, it is more than 24 hours!

In term of restoring skin elasticity and smooth skin texture, both you and I know that we can't actually tell by just one night, right? So I won't comment on these points. You yourself will be the judge :)

It doesn't have any prominent "shea butter" scent. More like an usual skincare product smell. (I felt this smell is so familiar, but I just couldn't recall which product it is :s) Personally, I will prefer the sweet berry scent which is so relaxing and comforting. Personal preference (heh) :D

Oh ya, for the record, the paper mask sheet itself is kinda thick. Maybe that's the reason why they chose it because it can hold the thick cream essence (idk i'm just saying).

[Review] Garnier - Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1

Hello everyone! :)

I believe you won't be unfamiliar with micellar cleansing water as it is being offered by a wide range of brands out there.

But what exactly is "micellar cleansing water"? What is its function? How effective it is in cleansing and removing makeup? Is it a must-have item, or what?

If you have any of these questions, hang on there as we will uncover all of them in this post ;)

First, what is micellar water?

According to ELLE, the correct pronunciation is "me-sell-air". Well, for the record, micellar water has been around for quite some time. It is made up of micelles (tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules) suspended in soft water. In fact, this non-rinse and soap-free cleanser is originated in France before the globe went craze for it. 

“It looks like water, it has the viscosity of water but when you put it on your finger and feel, it has a different texture than water,” says Tabasum Mir, a skincare physician in cosmetic dermatology and cosmetic laser surgery.

How does micellar water function?

By nature, as micelles are attracted to dirt and oil, hence they are able to lift, remove and draw out makeup, oil and other impurities - just like a magnet.

Another bonus? The whole process is done without drying out the skin, unlike other harsh face wipes or alcohol-contained toners and astringents. Therefore, micellar water can be used as a facial wash, makeup remover and moisturizer all-in-one.

How effective does micellar water removes makeup and cleanses the skin?

I will be focusing on the spotlight of the day - Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water while answering this question.

Honestly, I was suspicious before purchasing it. What drives me to purchase this product? Liah Yoo, one of my favourite YouTubers. This product was featured in her March 2016 list of favourite item, but yeah, I only got this 1 year later T.T

This is indeed a game-changer! Compared to other cleansing water I've been using previously, Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water really gives this fresh sensation on the skin.

I've been using it for more than a month now. I bought it from a local drugstore, Guardian, for about RM23+.

Despite it is a non-rinse cleansing water, but often I will proceed washing my face with just tap water after using this product (psychological sickness). Yes, removing and cleansing my face couldn't be more convenient! (feels like returning to mother-nature...heh)

Below are photos demonstrating how it removes makeup:-

Unlike traditional pre-soaked makeup remover wipe, it's designed to be swept away with a completely clean cotton pad, so it doesn't just smear your makeup around your face like those wipes can do.

And unlike alcohol-contained toner, the solution doesn't contain alcohol and never stings, meaning you can use it around the sensitive eye area.

Interesting hack which I've learned from the video is to clean makeup brushes using micellar water. :D

Is it a YAY or NAY? Let's check it out now~

First, I poured the miceller cleansing water in a glass, just the right amount for the bristle to dip in. Then leave it for about 3~5 minutes.

In addition, what I did was, to take the makeup brush, one at a time, stir it in circular motion while it is still soak in the solution, in order to get rid of stubborn residue on the bristle.

After 5 minutes, rest your makeup brushes with tips facing downward, and leave it to dry.

I'm pretty amazed because it really works!! However, it seemed to be less effective in removing makeup products, such like foundations and concealers. Well, folks you could save up your money in buying those expensive brush cleansers now :D

Most of all, this method is less hassle, and I don't mind cleaning my makeup brushes every week now! (heh)

[Review] Odbo - Collagen Hydra-Mask

Odbo's Collagen Hydra-Mask

I got this mask sheet about a year ago, kept it inside the fridge for long enough that I don't even remember how I got this. Did I purchase it, or came as a free gift? I totally had no idea. @@

It's okay, because it doesn't make any difference if I remember.

As expected, not much of product design from Odbo.

From its product name and description, so I'm expecting moisturizing and skin tightening (collagen) effect, am I correct? Just wanna make sure what are we looking at now.

Basically I'm looking at the "most general product description" I can get from every mask sheet product! (aww mannnn) Nothing exciting nor informative. (geez thanks)

So as my review comment here.

Size of the mask sheet is fine for me. After effect? So-so. For me, it failed to deliver the "wow" effect. Probably we are advised to use the product continuously for a time period to be able to notice a difference, but no thanks. (geez even as I'm writing this, there is nothing prominent that I can remember when using it in order to provide more descriptions about it...) Maybe I'm just out of words (meh)

[Review] Aqua Blossom - White Effect OLED Cream

Hello everyone! :)

Flashback a bit. Remember we talk about "toning cream / tone-up cream / whitening cream / brightening cream" in earlier post? Good, cause today we're going to discuss a little deeper about it.

Aqua Blossom's White Effect OLED Cream | 화이트 이펙트 올레드 크림 | 50g / 1.6 fl. oz.

At this point of time, I don't think the term "toning cream" is well-known in the market yet. As much as I know, this term originates from South Korea (not that hard to guess, huh?). 

Just by looking at the trend right now, to name a few, popular toning cream available in market are: Dr.Jart+'s V7 Toning Light, followed by Nightingale's G7 Toning Cream, 3CE's White Milk Cream and Cellapy's Agi Toning Cream (in no specific order). Surely there is one or two you have seen or heard before.

Compared to the brands aforementioned, Aqua Blossom seems like lacking a bit by popularity. The reason why I bought this? The first time I saw it on Althea's Hot Deal and I didn't get to buy it before it went out of stock. Then the same deal was being offered again based on high demand, and this time I locked down my order for RM26 each. (the matter of demand, you get it?)

Basically you can get the product description and usage on the page itself (link here). But I am sure, what you really curious is, "does it delivers what it claims?" (nodding silently at the background)

Let's start on the packaging. It comes in an air-tight plastic container. Aesthetic wise, so-so. But honestly, I do appreciate its air-tight concept as it is more hygienic this way.

All you need is to press the button to get the cream. Usually I will take one pump for my whole face, and another pump to apply on the neck (you must get even skin tone, right? so don't forget to apply on your neck area).

According to its product description, this product is about 3-in-1: whitening + coverage + moisturizing. Based on my little understanding, the reason why it has great instant whitening effect is because of 3 ingredients: pearl extract, titanium dioxide and diamond powder. Oh, and they included skincare routine must-have item - Niacinamide in the product list and even named it the "main ingredient" from the list. (hmm :/)

Many might be confused at this point. Is it a skincare whitening product, or a makeup base product? Although the company decided to categorize it under skincare column, it was also recommended to use as makeup base in its product description. (so who is causing all these confusions? hmm)

FAQ:-
Question: Can I go to bed after applying this product?
Answer: Yes, since it is a skincare product, you can either apply it day or night. (says its product description)

Question: Can I use it as a sun protector?
Answer: No, it doesn't carry any SPF value, so be sure to apply your sunscreen on top of it before going outdoor.

Okay, let's try it out! ;)

For me, one pump is for full face. So, I'm taking half an amount from one pump and apply on half of my face, to show comparison.

Left: no application || Right: applied white effect OLED cream

Instant whitening effect? Yes, I can notice that.
Coverage? I will say, weak since it neither cover pores nor blemishes.

Moisturizing effect? Well, yes to a certain degree. Since it is cream base, it is slightly oily and heavy for my skin (combination to oily skin). Living in a country where you are surrounded by heat and humidity 24/7, all year round, I can easily sweat after using this product.

Meanwhile, just lemme me finish by applying the cream on the other half of my face.

So, is it a hit or a miss? I think it really depends on your skin type and skin condition. :)

By skin type, I mean preferably suitable for normal to dry skins. By skin condition, I mean preferably when you have less visible blemishes / skin troubles whereby you can apply it in order to achieve the "bare face" look.

[Review] The Saem - Pure Natural Snail

Hello everyone! :)

The spotlight of our mask sheet review today is the Pure Natural Snail from The Saem.

I got 2 of these as free gift when I purchased at one of their local stores in Myeongdong, South Korea. Right away I tried one when I was travelling. It didn't really amazed me on the spot (@@). So I brought the other one back home with me.

...Not until I decided to use the second one last week. It changed my whole opinion on this mask sheet. (eyes rollingggg O.O)

As usual, I left my mask sheets in the fridge in order to get that cooling effect when apply on face. ;)

After removing the mask sheet from the packet, it really has an excess amount of essence left inside. I put the excess essence in a travelling press-bottle, and I was able to use it to apply on my full face for 4~5 times!

So we talked about snail mask sheet before. This is nothing much new to most of us. Snail mucus provides good concentrated moisturizing and nourishing effect.

Apparently the size of the mask sheet itself is a little bigger for me, but I was very much impressed by its instant and lasting moisturizing effect. It lasts for more than 24 hours, until the night after. *~*

Well, it isn't about the snail mucus anyway. (I'm not going after that) The same product might has different effect on different people. I read that some people don't have good feelings about this product. It's okay. :)

For me, I think it is worth the try, if you could get a free sample or buy in individual pieces. Just avoid buying in bulk before trying out the product :)
