Product Breakdown

In this Moisture Barrier Care Special Set, you are getting Mediheal's D:NA Proatin Mask (5pcs) and Mediheal's Teatree Care Solution Essential Mask Ex. (5pcs).

Particularly, I love the packaging. It's white like snow. And the boys are like angels in the postcards! :3 :3 :3 (fan-girlinggg)

Meanwhile, look at the details! In this special collaboration series, their sheet masks are packed in a special packaging where BTS' logo is embossed on the cover. Looks reaaaally cool~

Yeap, I am a big fan of BTS and you already can tell ("because you're behaving so obvious" lol). :p

Back to product review. Now I gonna walk you through the sheet masks!



First, let's talk about the D:NA Proatin Mask.

This is my first time purchasing Mediheal's D:NA Proatin Mask. Never use it before, so I'm very excited to try it!

"Anti-aging cosmetic. Dermatologically tested." -Mediheal. 

"Prevent moisture loss with skin-barrier protein mask." -Mediheal.

"DNA along with Sodium hyaluronate, Aquaxyl (Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol) and Sodium PCA supply moisture and nutrition to tired skin for revitalized, soft and smooth dewy-looking skin." -Mediheal.

"When my makeup does not fit perfectly due to the skin being dry and flaky during dry weather, this mask pack provides me with instant hydration." -RM of BTS.

I knew I am going to love this sheet mask by knowing it consists of "creamy serum". Best known for intensive moisture and nutrition.

Oh ya, don't forget to mention a cute Panda hairband is included when I purchased this special set!! (>w<) Limited time only!!!

As expected, the sheet mask wrapped my face comfortably and the creamy essence is just the right texture. Not burden to apply on the skin. Not too oily. The scent reminds me of those lotions from high-end hotel. It's so relaxing when using this sheet mask!!

I left it for more than 30 minutes, but the sheet mask is still moist. Not drying my skin.

With the leftover essence, I apply them on the next morning as moisturizer! Really goood!!



Moving on to the Teatree Care Solution Essential Mask Ex.

In fact, I've tried Mediheal's Teatree Care Solution Essential Mask Ex. prior to this.

This sheet mask contains of Teatree Leaf Oil.

If you have encountered Teatree Oil before, you can expect its signature strong cooling scent here.

What's different from the original Mediheal's Teatree Care Solution Essential Mask Ex. packaging? Besides, BTS' logo is this special edition sheet mask is embossed on the cover, you will also find pressed "MEDIHEAL" logo on the sheet mask itself!!! (as below)

"Dermatologically tested." -Mediheal.

"We use this pack for emergency instant care before heading out to perform!" -Jung Kook and J-Hope of BTS. 

Particularly, this sheet mask itself is thinner than the original. I find it difficult to spread it out (><''').

Made of Bemlise fabric, with its thin texture, it hugs my face so nicely, and it almost feels like my second skin!

In summation, it was a pleasant and rewarding purchase!! Love love love.

Time fact. This product is nothing new in the market. It has been launched for more than 2 years now. But why is it so fascinating? o.o

People were all hyped up for this so-called "tattoo brow" beauty item when it launched. Why? You can style your brows whichever you wish in every week, without permanent commitment (e.g. real real tattoo).

I still can remember 2 years ago when I went for a trip to South Korea, one of us bought this magical brow tint and told us about the then-popular beauty item.

We were like, "whuttt??" And when she ended up with a bold eyebrows on the next morning, we were like, "hmm..." Not sure whether should I purchase or not. :/

But this particular item kept stucked in my head.. I wanted to try so badly... Until one day when I was so fed up with drawing my brows every morning, I made up my mind (finally!!!)

Product breakdown

There are three (3) colors available in the first launch series:

1. Brown
2. Light Brown
3. Grey Brown**

Here I am merely choosing the darkest shade from the series since I have dark hair.

#Tips: Don't know how to choose brow color? Try match your brow color with your hair color. It won't go wrong. ;)

Untwist the cap and you will find a brush attached to the end (as above).

The gel itself is reaaally thick and sticky. Similar to the consistency of liquid glue.

As per instruction, you have to leave the tint until it is dried completely (best to leave overnight).

Now I am going to show you the color payoff on the back of my hand (as below) just by leaving it for a minute.

Wow you already can observe the tint effect just within a minute!

How to Style Your Brows Using Brow Tattoo Tutorial (Basic)

In this tutorial, you gonna need two things: Tint My Brows Gel and a brow brush.

Here I am using B216 Brow Definer from Breena Beauty, a local cosmetic brand (talking about making Malaysia proud :D).

Let me tell you why using a brow brush is necessary. Of course it is! Because it provides you a better control of the brow shape you're drawing later on. Brow game is always about "on fleek", right? :)

*Disclaimer: I am no pro in the brow game. I just want my brows to look okay to be seen. (heh)

(so I'm filming with one hand and demonstrating with another... :') bear with me)

Dip the brow brush into the tint gel (as below). Don't worry about the stain, it can be cleaned off which I will show you how later on ;)

Welcome to the black-and-white world! :p

Due to bad lighting, the original photo came out inconsistent in lighting.

Hence, I am going to continue this tutorial in black-and-white photos. :')

① With the brow brush, start by drawing a base line / border of your designated brow shape.

② Draw an upper border of your designated brow shape using the brow brush (too!),
connecting the upper and lower border at the ends.




③ Continue using the brow brush to close the front end of the brow.




④ Fill in the empty space within the borders using the default brush attached at the cap.




⑤ Made a mistake? No worries. Grab a cotton swab and clean up that area.




Ta-da! Hello, angry bird! :p

For best result, leave it overnight to dry. When the tint gel is completely dried, you can peel it off easily, without pain (as below).

Here's the look on the next morning!

The result is absolutely promising!!! The tint turned out to be very natural, completely blended with my brow. It looks natural. No lie.

Even my dad gave his compliment! (>w<)

How to Clean Your Used Brow Brush Tutorial :p

All you need is a cotton pad and some cleansing water.

Swab your brush over the cotton pad and the tint should go off easily, without hassle!

Clean as new!!! *~*

This product is a life-changer, that's for sure! In the events when you need waterproof makeup, this gotta be life-saver.

Worry about getting fed up with the current brow shape too soon before you regret? For my case, this tint can lasts up to about 3 days (in complete good shape like you just did), then it will slowly fade away. No long term commitment involved.

Good news!! Now Etude House has added new colors to their AD series!! You can check out their products on their official website or concept stores. ;)

[Review] common labs - Mild Peeling Finger Pad

Hello everyone! :)

Instead of sharing sheet mask review, I am going to grab your attention to this Mild Peeling Finger Pad by common labs.

Previously, I have done a sheet mask review on common lab's Ggultamin B Real Jel Mask + First Impression (with blue packaging). If you missed that, don't worry. (link right here) :D

Honestly, I was really into this Mild Peeling Finger Pad when I first exposed to it through the Ggultamin B Real Jel Mask. That's why I was super hyped up on getting this product.

Do read on until the end of the post as I share with you my personal thoughts on this product. ;)

Product breakdown

It comes with seven (7) individual pieces inside the box (as above). Finger Pads in such packaging is absolutely travel-friendly and hygienic! (well of course, the downside will be not environmental-friendly... depends on you)

"This is a mild exfoliator before you apply any other skincare products. The peeling pad provides gentle yet effective exfoliation of dead skin cells and impurities, leaving your skin ready to absorb all of the good ingredients in your normal skincare routine." - common labs.

Ingredients 

Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Alcohol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, Glycolic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Honey Extract, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexyglycerin, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Salicylic Acid, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance.

Product does not include

Triethanolamine, Sulfates, Prabens, Talc. Chlorphenesin, Benzyl Alcohol.

Unboxing

Once you opened the packet, you will see the peeling pad folded in half (as above), moistly soaked with exfoliating essence.

It has this "lab-kind-of" fragrance embedded. Imagining you're in a skincare lab now (heh).

I mentioned before in my sheet mask review that I really can't tell which side is the front or back of the finger pad. Even now. There isn't an official statement on the identification (urgh).

Anyway. By touching the surface of the sides, you definitely can tell which is the embossing side (rougher side for exfoliation) and the smooth side (to clean and smoothen up).

The Finger Pad is made of thick cotton, and I would say a bit hard in terms of texture. Especially the border of the Finger Pad.

Directions

After cleansing, slip your fingers into the sleeve of the pad and use gentle circular motions to wipe your face, neck and chest, once or twice daily after cleansing.

Here's my result after using the Mild Peeling Finger Pad.

There isn't much difference just by looking at it. However, there are signs of wear-and-tear on both sides of the Finger Pad. It does collect dust on it, but it's too small to be captured by my phone camera (>.<''').

As I am writing this, I have just finished all 7 pieces of them. I didn't use it continuously in 7 days, but on and off throughout 3 weeks time.

Perhaps could it be the reason why I couldn't notice significant difference after using this product? I don't know. :/

I rather use this finger pad on alternative days because I felt its cotton texture is rather rough on the skin... which is good as it is meant for exfoliation, but I thought it might be too much for my skin to bear as daily skincare routine. I guess it is really depends on individuals.

What I like about this Finger Pad is that it is fully packed with chemical exfoliant ingredients (both AHA & BHA) and wound-healing ingredients.

Bear in mind, if you have sensitive skin, do extra careful and watchful while testing this Finger Pad.

[Review] ALIVE:LAB - Centella Dressing Powder

If you constantly suffer from acne and trouble-skin, this is for you. ^_^

ALIVE:LAB's Centella Dressing Powder | 8ml

This versatile product has been featured in many Youtubers' skin care routine, and I was thrilled when it was made available on Althea. I was quick enough and made my purchase when it has 10% new item discount (heh).

Most of us, including myself, often we do not fully understand what is the theory behind a name of a product.

For instance, what does Centella mean? Is it a fancy name or what? :o

No worries! Let's find out together ;)

What is Centella / Centella Asiatica?

Centella asiatica, commonly known as centella, Brahmi, Asiatic pennywort or Gotu kola, is a herbaceous, frost-tender perennial plant in the flowering plant family Apiaceae. It is mostly found in Asia wetlands.

The plant, specifically its leaves and salves, has long been used in the topical skin treatment (as medicinal herb, for instance).

But how? By stimulating blood flow to the cells and protecting against infections, Centella asiatica extract can rapidly speed the healing process.

Besides, the plant is also widely used as culinary vegetable to boost cognition, protect gastrointestinal system, boost blood circulation, relieve anxiety, detoxify body and regulate blood pressure (wow!).

I must confess that I really didn't expect it comes in such a cute (small) packaging. From the photo displayed online, I am expecting it to be somewhat bigger (lol).

By the outlook, it has calming blue plastic packaging with black turning cap (as above). A minimalistic design.

If you are opening for the first time, you will find a protective seal / sticker attached, blocking the holes (as below). You could keep the protective seal on for hygienic purpose.

To use, simply pour the powder on your palm in "tok tok" motion. Here it means "tapping" in Korean.

Here is how the powder looks like.

Let's zoom in and have a closer look.

Its micro powder is smooth and fine. Bonus, it does not have any scent. 

Ways of Application

Here I am going to demonstrate to you one of the many "DIY Acne Treatment" by using ALIVE:LAB's Multi Ice Cream and Centella Dressing Powder.

(check out my product review on ALIVE:LAB's Multi Ice cream here!!!)

It's very simple and easy to follow ;)

First, scoop up the amount of moisturizer you need and put it onto your palm.

Then grab the Centella Dressing Powder and "tok tok" or "shake shake" until you get the amount of powder you want. (as below)

Forget about ratio or whatsoever. There is no fixed rule here. It's really up to you. :D

Proceed to mix the two ingredients either using a spatula or your finger. (who cares haha!)

Until you find the powder is perfectly blended into the moisturizer (as below).

Here you have, your very own homemade acne moisturizer! (YAY)

I would recommend to apply it in the night time, since I found the combination tends to cake up my foundation in the day time. (just a side note I think you should be aware of)

What's best about this product?

It is NOT necessarily to go with moisturizer; it can go with almost every skincare product you can think of! Cleanser, sheet mask, essence, toner... You name it.

Also, you can use it as a spot treatment by stamping trouble areas (i.e. small pimples) using a moist Q-tip.

For my case, the acne spots will either shrink, subside or appear less redness after a few application. It works most of the times, but there are times when my pimples decided to pop-up and burst freely regardless what you put on top (^^''').


**Disclaimer: Bear in mind it isn't a magical product that tackles trouble areas overnight. The healing effect could differ from one another.**

[Review] Mediheal - P.D.F A.C Dressing Ampoule Mask Ex.

I had terrible breakouts last week. My skin was so stressed out, especially after the recent short weekend trip. If you have follow my Insta story, you would already know about this.

As usual, what's the quick remedy for skin trouble? Put on a sheet mask (of course!). Mediheal is always my pick.

Mediheal's P.D.F A.C Dressing Ampoule Mask Ex. | 메디힐 피부진정/저자극성/민감성/피지케어 | 25ml

I really really curious what does P.D.F here stands for. If you have any clue, please leave a comment below (pleaseeee).

"Skin relax ingredient Centella Asiatica Extract, Trehalose and Allantoin relax tired and sensitive skin and manages healthy and moisturized skin condition." - Mediheal

According to its product description, this sheet mask is targeted for tired and sensitive skin. Great, I am in need of this! (gimme noww)

Apparently, it is an upgraded version, which the sheet mask is (1)more adhesive, (2)has higher skin absorption and (3)no paraben added.

Once open the package, there is a minty, refreshing and cooling scent. Reminds me of the smell of astringent.

It is an essence/ampoule type of sheet mask. It is transparent and has watery texture. There are still leftover essence inside the packet, and I apply it on my neck and both hands. They are easily absorbed, without much stickiness when dried.

Mediheal's clear fit sheet mask is very comfortable to wear on the skin. No itchy or whatsoever. (trustworthy, as always ;))

Although it was suggested to leave on for 10~20 minutes, I left the sheet mask for more 30 minutes, yet certain parts of the sheet mask are still moist.

Pros

• Skin calming effect can be observed almost instantly
• Contains active ingredients that helps to exfoliate skin chemically and control sebum
• Comfortable clear fit sheet mask

Cons

• Contains alcohol and fragrance

Personal Experience

I have good experience after using this sheet mask. This is not my first time using P.D.F sheet mask. Store the sheet mask in refrigerator and take out only before using. The skin calming effect is much obvious.

For me, it really works as an intensive skin trouble remedy. Among Mediheal's P.D.F and Tea Tree sheet masks, I personally prefer the first one as it is milder than the other. Less tingling sensation.

Overall, Mediheal is definitely a trustworthy household brand for sheet mask. (Spoiler: I am getting myself Mediheal X BTS version. Stay tuned for update very soon!)
