Braces Journey Week 2 My Braces Diary - Process of Overcoming Pain

Hello everyone! :3

My teeth braces journey continues...

Week 1 with braces on was my darkest week.

Seriously, I'm not here to scare you,
but I need you to know. ;____;

Main reason is because my teeth keep resisting the pressure,
hence giving me a lot of headache (literally).
I had to take paracetamol (i.e. Panadol) to ease the headache.

Apparently this wasn't just affecting my head,
but my entire body.

Weirdly, I felt my entire body is SOOOO TIRED
(without doing any extreme exercise or whatsoever),
I had deep and long sleep during the first few nights.
zzzzzzzz

Which is a good sign, because I can leave the pain and at least get some sleep.
Time passes easier this way.

If you don't know, I call myself a "carnivore" because my love towards meaty food. :p
Not much fan of vege or bread or fruits actually.

Hence leading me to the next problem.
Eating problem.

Realizing the fact that I can't munch or chew or bite anything solid,
I AM DOOMED!!!!!

Straight away gloomy face for the rest of the week....
Literally eating porridge for three meals...

And before I'm full, my mouth is hurt and sore
as the result of friction between the brackets and my inner mouth. :x

Honestly, I really thought of giving up at this point...

"WHAT FOR?",
I asked myself.

"I WILL BE DEAD HUNGRY BEFORE I KNEW IT."

My sister sent me comforting words,
and I'm very much encouraged since she already went through this whole thing.

She told me,
"THE PAIN AND PRESSURE WILL SUBSIDE IN A FEW DAYS.
HANG ON THERE."

True and behold, without taking painkillers,
the pain did gradually fade away around the 5th or 6th day.
I can finally smile now. :)

I also got myself the Interdental Brush to clean the spaces between braces wire and the teeth.
As recommended by my friend, Cong Min, she said she preferred Interdental Brush by Guardian,
but I can't find it at the stores, so might as well got these from Watsons.
Currently they are selling for RM7.85 for 6 pieces of these L Type Interdental Brushes.
Original retail price at RM9.80.

My dentist didn't advice me to buy these.
But these interdental brushes are really handy when you have braces on.

Not to use these to clean your entire mouth,
but to clean the gaps where normal toothbrush couldn't reach.

Of course, don't skip brushing your teeth as usual using normal toothbrush. ;)

Having said that,
I'm getting my lower braces next week.
