What are the key ingredients and their functions?

Panthenol is a widely used in skincare product as it changes into vitamin B when absorbed into the skin, keeps skin hydrated and soothes while strengthening skin barrier.

Shea Butter, also known as “African treasure”, is rich in skin hydrating properties that nourishes skin and forms a protective moisture barrier.

Seawater is used to replace water, considering it's packed with natural minerals that has anti-aging properties to achieve radiant glow.

Besides, this product also contains five (5) soothing ingredients, namely Eclipta Prostrata Leaf Extract, Amaranthus Caudatus Seed Extract, Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Ficus Carica Fruit Extract, that all together increase the skin soothing effect.

To note, this product is free from Paraben, Synthetic pigment, Triethanolamine, mineral oil, Benzophenone-3, animal ingredients, Propylene Glycol, ethanol, Talc, Benzoic acid.

The packaging design is rather simple. Behind the packaging is the product description written in Korean. For English version, you can find it on the box packaging or check out their official website for more detailed info.

It uses the flip-type opener (as below).

Texture and Scent

Though it is namely after "cream", the texture is rather slippery. Once the cream landed on the skin surface, straight away it melts to watery cream.

It smells like a mixture of chamomile flower and lemongrass. Kinda reminds me of herbal Thai spa therapy actually (heh).

To be honest, not the kind of scent that I enjoy, but since it is not overpowering, I wouldn't mind too much.

Once the cream is fully absorbed into the skin, it will leave a thin layer of moisture protection on the skin surface.

Any stickiness or greasiness? In fact yes, but not to the extend that you feel like washing it off. I would say still bearable.

Application

After cleansing and toning the skin, apply an even layer and gently pat in till absorbed.

Despite it feels very watery, this cream is surprisingly very moisturizing! For my case, I would replace serum with just one-step moisturizer.

Here's an example of how I'm incorporating Skin Relief Calming Cream in my morning and night skincare routine.

AM routine:
Toner > Skin Relief Calming Cream > Sunscreen

PM routine:
Makeup remover > Cleanser > Serum > Eye Cream > Skin Relief Calming Cream

Nevertheless, this soothing cream can be apply all over your body. Use it as a hand cream or foot cream - notice how deeply moisturized your skin will be after that.

Personal Experience

A little goes a long way! I can truly feel how moisturizing the cream without using much of it. A 20 cent size is sufficient to cover my whole face.

The after-effect of applying the cream does feel slightly minty and cooling, but I don't see much of the effect on reducing my skin redness.

Despite its promising moisturizing properties, I find myself odd for not reaching to this cream that often. :/ Personal preference, perhaps.
