High Tea at On The Way Kopitiam

After "hunting down" for mural arts in between the streets in Chinatown Market, it's a call for rest and a cup of tea.

At this point of time, we are actually at the back of a cafe named "On The Way Kopitiam". It is located behind this beautiful bridge (below).

And this is how the front of the cafe looks like (below).

It has a variety of snacks and drinks you can pick from, Local to Western. The food price is relatively cheaper compared to both KL and KK.

We decided to order a few of their signatures and share among ourselves, so that we can try a variety of it.

ABC Special - RM7.90

Keropok Lekor (Goreng / Fried) - RM6.90

Kaya Butter Toast - RM3.50

Wholemeal Kaya Butter Toast - RM4.90

Small Bun - RM3.50 and Tea C (cold) - RM3.60

Even cats are attracted to this cafe! (^0^) Aww don't look at me like that... (>w<)

It's time to bid goodbye to this place~ It was a fruitful adventure here at Chinatown Market! If you haven't visit here, definitely check out here on your next trip! ;)

Check In to Airbnb (Megat's family of Jalan Megat Panji Alam)

This is my first time booking accommodation from Airbnb (clap clap clap). We thought it is unnecessary to stay in hotel for just 1 night, but instead we could save up on the accommodation while experience the local culture.

We got this great deal from Airbnb whereby the whole house (2 bedrooms, fully-equipped kitchen and water heater) for just RM108! Divided into 4 pax, it is RM27 per pax for 1 night.

From Chinatown Market to our stay is about 20 minutes drive. We took longer to arrive as we missed a small turning.

Just so happened the owner's mum is just staying at the ground floor, while we rented the second floor. She is a kind lady who gave us several suggestions on our dinner whereabouts.

Upon arrival, we quickly unpacked our bags and freshen up ourselves after a long journey.

Late Dinner at Panaroma Cafe

Since we had high tea earlier, we didn't feel hungry although it's the usual time for dinner. We literally just skipped our dinner.

By 9PM, we drove out in search for food. Unfortunately, Ramadan Bazaar is all closed by this hour.

We searched online for dinner recommendations, and this came out.

"Romantic dinner with panorama view on the mountain", sounds legit to me. Shall we give it a try?

In fact, the cafe is named after the mountain, which is Bukit Panorama. It is located in the city center, not like what we expected that it to be way out of town.

We were shocked upon arrival. There isn't any customer (at all seriously)! Are we at the right place, or?

From the photo itself, it seemed to me it should be a great place for casual hangouts, but.. why?

The ambiance is pretty romantic, but lack of music and full of mosquitoes (somehow they are attracted by me and I hate them). Okay, perhaps that's the reason why people stop coming? Idk, anyway that's my first impression.

It even takes a while to get the waiter's attention from afar (they don't seem very attentive to customer.. wait do they actually noticed our presence?).

We ordered our food and drinks in flash. A combination of local and Western food.

The food and drinks are so-so. Nothing wow. Basically we are just disappointed by the online reviews. Some claimed that the cafe serves good satays, but it was out-of-stock when we were there (sad case).

They didn't even bother to give us a receipt, and I loss track on how much we spent for this dinner. :/

Is it worth to go all the way to Bukit Panorama for the view and romantic ambiance? I wouldn't recommend that, but if you insist, that's totally up to you. :')
