[Monthly Project] #32 Products That I've Finished in 2019 Part I

Monthly Project (April 2019)

#32 Products That I've Finished in 2019 (so far) Part I

I must admit, writing emptied post is 10 times fun than individual product review. It's like a 10-in-1 kinda post - like a summary on the products which I enjoyed or the other way round.

My mum was begging me to get rid of the "rubbish" which I've been collecting, so here we are - the products that I've finished in year 2019 (so far).

What you can expect from this post:
  • Products which I have emptied or discarded in year 2019 (so far);
  • Worth purchasing, or not.

Monthly Project; #32 Products That I've Finished in 2019 Part I

If you are planning to purchase one of these products below, I hope this will be informative and helpful. :)

Let's start with makeup removers.

(from left to right)

① Althea's Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser (150ml)

(click here for full product review)

Strength(s) : Makeup remover and face cleanser 2-in-1 product, not oily on face, won't strip moisture from your skin.
Weakness(es) : In terms of face cleansing, it might be too gentle.
Final rating : 4.5 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Yes, I've repurchased! I find this 2-in-1 cleanser super convenient. So far I haven't found a product like such, so I'm going to stick with it for now.

② Garnier's Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water (125ml)

(click here for full product review)

Strength(s) : Quick makeup removing power.
Weakness(es) : Strong fragrance, not suitable to remove eyeliner and mascara.
Final rating : 3.5 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Maybe. You might get chocked up by its strong fragrance - it's either you love it, or hate it. I find this makeup remover efficient in removing face makeup (no doubt), but I would prefer those normal micellar cleansing water.

③ Nivea's Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover (125ml)

(click here for full product review)

Strength(s) : Gentle on the skin around eye area.
Weakness(es) : Weak makeup removing power.
Final rating : 2 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Not going to repurchase. So disappointed on its eye makeup removing power. It's just an average makeup removing product to me.

④ Prreti's Perfect Clean Cleansing Tissues (120g / 30ea)

Strength(s) : Super affordable cleansing tissues @ RM5 (buy on Althea here)
Weakness(es) : Consists alcohol and fragrance, so might be tingling on the skin for some.
Final rating : 3 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Maybe. Not the best cleansing tissue out there, but definitely one of the few that value-for-money.

Moving on to face cleanser.

⑤ ISKIN New York's Deep Cleanser (200ml)

(click here for full product review)

Strength(s) : Gentle face cleanser suitable for all skin, doesn't strip moisture from the skin.
Weakness(es) : Price.
Final rating : 4 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Maybe, depending on my buying power. Decent face cleanser that lathers well and cleanses the skin, has slight cooling effect.

⑥ Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser (125ml)

Strength(s) Gentle skin cleanser (even for baby!), doesn't strip moisture from the skin, soap and fragrance free, won't sting the eyes.
Weakness(es) : -
Final rating : 5 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Yes. This cleanser doesn't lather bubbles, yet cleanses and remove light makeup gently. Loving this simple-yet-effective product.

Moving to serums.

(from top to bottom)

⑦ IOPE's Bio Essence Intensive Conditioning (trial kit/18ml)

Strength(s) : Skin soothing and skin moisturizing.
Weakness(es) : Hard to tell on the skin improvement.

Purchase full size product? In fact I've already bought the improvised Bio Essence Intensive Conditioning in full-size. Going to give it a try soon and see how.

⑧ It's Skin's Power 10 Formula Propolis (30ml)

(click here for full product review)

Strength(s) : Rich moisturizing and anti-aging properties, suitable for late 20s to early 30s.
Weakness(es) : -
Final rating : 5 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Maybe. Definitely value-for-money. One drop goes a long way because it can be very moisturizing. I think it's perfect for dry skin. Since I have normal to oily skin, I only apply it on my cheek and neck.

⑨ Innisfree's The Green Tea Seed Serum (trial/5ml)

Strength(s) : Moisturizing properties that suit acne-prone skin.
Weakness(es) : -

Purchase full size product? Yes, in fact I've already bought the full-sized product after finishing this trial bottle. Enjoying its moisturizing effect which is just nice for this season of time - just nice for early 20s to early 30s.

Acne patches are really handy, especially after you popped a pimple. Check out these!

(from left to right)

⑩ Cosrx's Clear Fit Master Patch (10mm x 18ea)

Strength(s) : Absorbs impurities and oil, suitable to use during daytime.
Weakness(es) : Invisible when it's put on and turns white after absorbing the impurities.

Final rating : 4.5 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Yes. Although it can be a bit embarrassing when it turns white, I think it's very effective in covering acne and absorbing the impurities under the acne.

⑪ Cosrx's Acne Pimple Master Patch (7mm x 10ea + 10mm x 5ea + 12mm x 9ea)

Strength(s) : Various sizes of pimple patch that you can pick from, absorbs impurities and oil.
Weakness(es) : Quite visible because of its yellowish color.
Final rating : 2 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Less likely. I would prefer pimple patches that are less visible to wear during daytime.

Moving on to lip balms.

(from left to right)

⑫ Innisfree's Canola Honey Lip Balm

Strength(s) : Creates a nice layer of waterproof protection on top on the lips.
Weakness(es) : Require to reapply often to keep the lips moist.
Final rating : 3 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Probably. A decent lip care product, but nothing too special about it.

⑬ DHC's Lip Cream (1.5g)

Strength(s) : Super moisturizing formula that melts once on the lips.
Weakness(es) : Can used up very fast.
Final rating : 4.5 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Highly possible. The most mind-blowing lip balm I have ever used (so far).

Coming up next, makeup products which I've emptied.

(from left to right)

⑭ Althea's Petal Velvet Sunaway SPF50+ PA++++ (55ml)

Strength(s) : Light-weighted formula that dries to velvet finish, not sticky, good makeup base.
Weakness(es) : Damask rose can be a bit overpowering (either you like it, or hate it).
Final rating : 4.5 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Highly possible. I really enjoy its velvet-finish that does leave the skin oily or sticky.

⑮ NYX's Matte Finish Setting Spray (60ml)

Strength(s) : Makeup can lasts longer, even under hot and humid weather.
Weakness(es) : -
Final rating : 4.5 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Yes, I've repurchased and using the second bottle now. The fact I didn't rate it full-star is because I haven't given other brands a try. So far this setting spray does me good.

⑯ Peripera's Pearly Night Ink Highlighter - Pink Champagne Beam (8.6g)

Strength(s) : Liquid face highlighter that blends into base makeup easily, suitable for makeup beginner.
Weakness(es) : More of the shimmery than glow.
Final rating : 4 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Probably. Loving the liquid-creamy texture that blends so easily by just using fingers. The pink beam is really dreamy - love it. The fact that I finished the product within 6 months is truly rare for my case.

Next category - miscellaneous beauty products.

(from left to right)

⑰ Batiste's Instant Hair Refresh Dry Shampoo - Clean & Classic (50ml)

Strength(s) : Instant dry shampoo perfect for on-the-go.
Weakness(es) : The drying effect is only temporary, still cannot compared to the real shampoo.
Final rating : 4.5 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Yes. The fact that it's perfect when you're in a rush, I'm definitely getting this product in full-size. At least it can last for a few hours. Spray more if needed.

⑱ Memebox's I'm Nail Remover (100ml)

Strength(s) : Cute packaging.
Weakness(es) : Rather weak nail polish removing power.
Final rating : 2 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? No. So-so product. Nothing special about it.

Strength(s) : Cute packaging, sweet flowery scent, hand cream and perfume 2-in-1 product.
Weakness(es) : -
Final rating : 3 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Less likely. An average hand cream product, but still worth the try. (probably they are not selling this version anymore because newer products are being introduced)

Last but not least, cotton pads!

(from top to bottom, left to right)

⑳ Silcot's Uru Uru Sponge (40 sheets / 80 pieces)

Strength(s) : Save 1/2 of your toner usage, gentle on the skin, can use for spot masking.
Weakness(es) : -
Final rating : 5 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Absolutely and I'm going to stick to this sponge puff for a while! I've mentioned this product a couple times now on my blog. Yes, it's really a bomb! Save toner usage. Must try!

㉑ Sephora's Soft Touch Cotton Pads (70 pieces/tube)

Strength(s) : Durable and gentle on the skin, good for removing eye makeup.
Weakness(es) : On the pricer end compared to other brands out there.
Final rating : 4 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? Highly possible. It's quality is definitely above average, and I find it handy especially for removing eye makeup (mascara and eyeliner) because its more durable.

㉒ Sasatinnie's Flower Embossed Cotton Pad (80 pieces/tube)

Strength(s) : Embossed pattern for better grip.
Weakness(es) : The cotton pads will rip-off by itself if I pat for longer time.
Final rating : 2.5 / 5
Repurchase/Comment? No. Just an average cotton pad for me.
